Welcome to Pied Piper Preschool

Pied Piper Preschool first opened over 50 years ago, and has been an important and much-loved part of the Wallerawang community ever since. We’ve been in our current lovely building (which was constructed by the community) since 1991, with the playground undergoing a wonderful renovation in 2013. The preschool sits atop the hill in Wallerawang, with fantastic views over Lake Wallace (Wang Dam).

We provide high quality preschool education for children aged 3-5 years. We also provide a 2 year old session for younger children on Friday mornings.

We follow the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which has learning through play and relationships at its foundation. We believe that children should be able to be children, with opportunities to explore, discover and understand the world around them, and to communicate, imagine and create. These things are at the very heart of a Pied Piper day.

As a community-based preschool, we are licensed by the Department of Education and Communities for 64 children every day, and a managed by a parent management committee. As a requirement of our license and regulations, all our educators hold early childhood qualifications. We have higher than required numbers of educators to children, which is recognized as an important contributing factor towards quality in an early childhood service.
