Gap Fees
As of July 2025, the following fees apply:
- 4 & 5-year olds: $45.00 per day for two-day enrolment
- 3-year olds: $50.00 per day for two-day enrolment
- 3-5-year-old Equity: $40.00 per day
- 2-year olds: $25 per session
Fee Relief
Families will have access to the NSW Governments Fee Relief to assist with the costs of Preschool fees. Families will be required to complete a Fee Relief Declaration Form stating whether the family will be claiming the fee relief from Pied Piper Preschool or another service.
Where the family nominate Pied Piper Preschool to receive the fee relief, families fees for 2 day enrolments will be covered. Any additional days are to be paid by the family.
Where the family nominate another service for the fee relief, the family will be required to pay gap fees to the service.
Start Strong Funding Acknowledgement
Pied Piper Preschool acknowledges the support it receives from the NSW Government through the Start Strong program.

How Start Strong Funding Works
Community Preschools like Pied Piper Preschool and Jack and Jill Preschool receive funding by the NSW Government via the ‘Start Strong Funding’. The Start Strong for Community Preschools program provides funding to deliver affordable quality preschool education for 3-to 5-year-old children enrolled in eligible community and mobile preschools in NSW.
This funding will come in two parts, The ‘Program Payment’ and the ‘Fee Relief Payment’. These two payments are both calculated based on the data entered in the Annual Preschool Census (usually in August), including the number of children, how many days the child is enrolled for and the characteristics of the children enrolled.
How Fees Are Calculated
Pied Piper Preschool is committed to providing high quality early education at the lowest possible cost. In short, fees are calculated by taking the budgeted expenses for the year and dividing that by the number of available places over the year.
This figure makes up the ‘Full Fee’ that a family would be required to pay if there was no funding available.
However, due to the ‘Start Strong Program Payment’, families do not need to pay the ‘Full Fee’. The total ‘Program Payment’ is removed from the budgeted expenses. This new figure is then divided by the number of available places over the year.
This ‘Reduced Fee’ is what must be covered by families.
